enquire Continuing Professional Development

The enquire programme involves considerable formal and non-formal CPD for the participating gallery staff, teachers and artists and also contributes to other events including the engage annual International Conference.

Non-formal CPD is inherent to the collaborative nature of the programme and joint planning, reflection, evaluation and research carried out through each project with children and young people. Since 2004 there has been a series of seminars to support the development of research methodologies and provide opportunities for both sharing these and the case studies from individual projects. enquire has published the research from projects since 2004 and supported the publication of case studies and participant's reflection in issues of the engage Journal as a means of disseminating the programme and enabling professional reflection and informing effective practice across the sector.

In 2008 enquire instigated a European Learning Partnership to explore common concerns and areas of practice in England, Portugal, Italy and Ireland.
