enquire phase 2

Since April 2006 the enquire programme has comprised seven clusters across England working on research and professional development. This phase has now been extended to March 2008, enabling the clusters to pursue their projects with children and young people and their particular area of research for a further year.
In October 2008 two further clusters, In Kent and Cornwall, joined the programme as a result of funding from the Foyle Foundation.

enquire Briefing Notes

enquire has issued a series of briefing notes, drawing attention to how gallery education addresses current education, culture and social agendas. Aimed at policy makers, they are also a valuable tool for advocacy. Three briefing notes on can be downloaded here or printed copies ordered from engage.

The enquire programme is funded jointly by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Department for Children, Schools and Families as part of the Strategic Commissioning Programme for Museum and Gallery Education, and by the Foyle Foundation. The enquire programme is managed by engage and has been developed in association with Arts Council England.
