Spacex"Spacex is a publicly funded contemporary art gallery and registered educational charity founded in 1976.The gallery’s focus upon socially engaged and process-led art work has provided a fertile environment for the Education & Outreach Programme. Spacex has a strong track record of working with community groups as well as with formal education institutions.
CCANW (Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World)"Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World (CCANW) is a new gallery space, located in Haldon Forest near to Exeter. The Centre aims to develop new understandings through the work of contemporary artists which explores the social, environmental and scientific issues involved in our changing relationship to nature.
Phoenix Gallery"The Phoenix Gallery is a local authority funded gallery based in Exeter’s Arts Centre. The gallery has employed two Education Managers within the last few years, and being a cluster member will enable The Phoenix to work with its peers and gain a track record in gallery education.
Grenville Pupil Referral Unit"Grenville Unit is a Pupil Referral Unit based in Exeter. Spacex and Phoenix have previously worked with the unit. Grenville has 22 students aged from 14 to 16 years who have been permanently excluded from schools in Exeter and East and Mid Devon. It is one of only 2 PRUs to have achieved Artsmark Silver.
Coombeshead Community College"Coombeshead College is Specialist College in Newton Abbot, near to CCANW.
Plymouth Art Centre"Plymouth Arts Centre is a gallery space and cinema that celebrated its 60th year in 2007. The emphasis of the film programme is independent and world cinema. The Exhibition Programme focuses on socially engaged practice and Plymouth as a rapidly regenerating city. The Artists and Curators Residency Programme supports local, national and international emerging practice and also presents internationally established artists. The Education and Outreach programme aims to contribute to cultural democracy, supporting and creating opportunities to engage in and learn through contemporary art and cinema.
Lighthouse Visual Arts Centre at Brixham College"The Lighthouse Visual Arts Centre is a contemporary, education led arts centre situated in South Devon, in the small fishing town of Brixham. Opened in July 2006 it provides a unique experience for the public and schools to enjoy. Positioned on the site of Brixham College the Centre hopes to engage both young people and the wider community, through programming exhibitions from both local talent and emerging artists.
As an educational space with facilities including a dark room, kiln and 4 arts studios the centre encourages a wide amount of audience participation. A programme of educational activities, events and community projects promoting stimulating and innovative approaches to the arts complement each exhibition.
Department of Education and Lifelong Learning, University of Exeter"Research partners, Professor Gert Biesta and Rob Lowy at the University of Exeter have a particular interest in citizenship learning in non-school contexts.
ISCA College of Media Arts"ISCA College is a specialist Media Arts College, which offers and combines technologically rich learning with a wide range of arts projects and activities. ISCA College has been participating in phase 2.2 of en-quire in partnership with CCANW.
St. Peter’s Church of England Aided School"St Peter’s is a specialist Language College in Exeter and has been working in partnership with Exeter Phoenix in en-quire phase 2 and Spacex Gallery during en-quire phase 2.2.
Lipson Community College"Lipson is a specialist Performing Arts College in Plymouth and has a wide variety of master classes and extra curricular activities involving the Arts. Lipson Community College has been working in partnership with Plymouth Arts Centre.
Brixham College"The philosophy of the College is based upon a number of important understandings. Running through this is the ethos - "Creative Approaches to Teaching and Learning". This college has been participating on en-quire phase 2.2 in a partnership with The Lighthouse Gallery.
Thelma Hubert Gallery"Elmfield House was once the home and studio of the late Thelma Hulbert, a contemporary of Victor Passmore and Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. Thelma's paintings are found in collections nationally and internationally, including the Tate, and can be viewed in a permanent display on the first floor of the gallery.
